Finalists in the 3rd Annual UCSF Health Awards Announced

September 27, 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, September 27, 2021 - UCSF Health Hub and UCSF Health Awards is proud to announce the finalist class of companies for the 2021 Health Awards.

Companies include Vida, Virta, Allogene, Amwell, Cityblock and others. The full list can be found here.

The finalists were selected across 14 categories by an expert team of judges in the healthcare and VC industries, including Daniel Kraft (CEO of Digital.Health), Ursheet Parikh (Mayfield Fund), Blake Wu (NEA), Michael Roizen (Cleveland Clinic) and Michael Blum, MD (UCSF), among 450 others. Five finalists per category were chosen from more than 1,200 submissions.

“The competition was rough and scant points separated the finalists from those that did not advance. It's a great group of companies that represents the top 5% of the submissions we received and really are the best of the best and represent the future of health tech and life sciences,” said Mark H. Goldstein, Chairman of the UCSF Health Hub and General Partner at venture capital firm Builders VC.

Finalists in each of the below categories are solving the biggest challenges in the health tech and life sciences spaces.
