May 25, 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, May 25th, 2021. The UCSF Health Awards returns for the 3rd Annual Award show to recognize the achievements of innovative health tech companies that are dramatically improving healthcare through the use of technology. This year, the show has been renamed to the UCSF Health Awards and will focus not only on the digital health space but life sciences as well, in order to properly address the health tech industry as a whole.

“Part of the success of our Awards show is to partner with the best companies in the industry,” said UCSF Health Hub Chairman and Builders VC venture Partner Mark Goldstein. “For our 3rd Annual, we needed to do three things: Return live, reflect ‘all of healthcare’ by adding life sciences awards, and help our winners sell. We are thrilled to announce our Innovation Pavilion at HLTH 2021 in Boston and expansion into the Life Sciences Awards category brought to you by Biocom California.”

UCSF Health Awards has worked with HLTH to create the exclusive UCSF Health Awards Innovation Pavilion at HLTH 2021 in Boston. HLTH creates a unique marketplace for the health community leading the dialogue and development of a better health ecosystem. All 2021 UCSF Awards Show winners will be included in a promotional video and also featured at the center of the UCSF Health Awards Innovation Pavilion. “We applaud UCSF’s mission to bring visibility to innovation in healthcare, where it is so desperately needed,” said Rich Scarfo, President of HLTH. “With our event platform focused entirely on digital health innovation, this is a natural partnership, and we are pleased to support the UCSF Health Awards.”

UCSF Health Awards also partnered with Biocom California to create five new Life Sciences Awards. “We are pleased to partner with UCSF Health Hub/UCSF Health Awards to recognize the extraordinary innovation taking place in our industry around the globe. The mission of the life science community is to improve the human condition and address unmet medical needs. These new awards are testament to that spirit of innovation and determination,” said Joe Panetta, president and CEO of Biocom California.
