Digital Health Hub Foundation is led by healthcare, technology and innovation leaders committed to helping promising companies scale and grow.

Mark Goldstein has spent more than 30 years building things—co-founding a dozen companies across fintech, SaaS, e-commerce, retail, green tech, online gaming, and music.
And then came healthcare.
Mark isn’t a doctor—despite his mother’s best efforts. Fifteen years ago, he didn’t know a lick about healthcare or health tech. What he did know was how to build companies, back fearless founders, and shake up industries that needed shaking up.
Today, Mark is a hands-on “player-coach” to entrepreneurs using digital health, AI, and digital therapeutics to make healthcare better, smarter, and less expensive. He loves helping bold founders challenge legacy players, cut through the noise, and turn big ideas into companies that matter.
Mark founded and chairs the Digital Health Hub Foundation, which began as UCSF Health Hub in the halls of UCSF’s Mission Bay campus. Inspired by the extraordinary talent he encountered there, Mark helped grow the Foundation into a global community connecting healthcare innovators with the inspo, connection, and capital they need to scale.
The Foundation is best known for the Digital Health Hub & AI Awards—one of the world’s largest healthcare innovation awards programs. Now in its eighth year and held annually in Las Vegas during HLTH, the program brings together 30,000 community members, 2,500 judges, and approximately 2,000 participating companies each year. It’s big, energetic, and just a little bit wild—in the best possible way.
Mark is also has a day job as Partner at Builders VC, a Series A venture capital firm. He invests in promising pre-seed companies through his Advisors Fund LLC and runs an azming toothbrush company on the side called Great Gums.
Earlier in his career, Mark served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at SoftBank and NEA. He is a graduate and former Overseer of the University of Pennsylvania.
