Tech Brief

The cancer research community has made tremendous progress in cancer prevention, precision treatments and therapies — but scientific progress is too slow to scale. CancerIQ plays a distinct role in connecting the cancer care ecosystem through the EHR in real time, putting the latest clinical guidelines and life sciences innovations into the hands of clinicians at the point of care, in any care setting. Our goal is to make precision cancer prevention part of routine primary care. Our platform gives clinicians the resources they need to manage patient care based on individual risk factors like genetics, inherited traits, behaviors and other social and environmental factors. This improves survival and prevents costly, late-stage cancer care — and it also increases the use of preventive services, improves patient adherence to care plans, reduces patient churn and maximizes downstream revenue for health systems. CancerIQ is dedicated to making cancer prevention and early detection scalable and sustainable for all health systems.

Problem Tech Solves

Over 600,000 people in the United States die from cancer each year — too often because of late stage diagnoses. Patient populations defined by race, income, geography, education and gender or sexual identity bear a disproportionate burden of the risk. Disparities in cancer outcomes indicate a critical need for more equitable access to cancer risk assessment and screening based on the latest clinical guidelines, as well as family history, genetics and other health factors. CancerIQ makes it easy to bring personalized cancer prevention to any care setting, from academic medical center to community hospital, and to rural and urban areas alike. Our platform also makes it possible for health systems to manage cancer risk at the population level — ensuring every patient has the appropriate resources to manage their personal cancer risk. CancerIQ is on a mission to end cancer as we know it by connecting broader patient populations and providers to the latest innovations in early detection and prevention.
